Upgrade Star Analyzer Plus V8 to Star Analyzer

This is how to upgrade the data on your Windows computer. If this looks too complex, you can simply download and run the Data Mover, which sends your data to us. Within 24 hours we will convert your data and return it to you at no cost.

1. Download, install, and run Star Analyzer Plus V9.07E as Administrator.
Then close V9.

2.Download, install, and run Star Analyzer Plus V11.19B.
If the program ask to Convert V9 data to V11, do it. Then close V11 and start it up a second time. Finally, close V11.

3. Download, install, and run Star Analyzer V12-03G.exe.
Close V12.03.

4. Download, install, and run Star Analyzer Plus V12.14.
Click the File menu, then Export.
Then select Export all properties to Star Analyzer database.
This will copy all your Star Analyzer Plus properties th the Star Analzer MD folder.
Close V12.12G.

5. Download and install Star Analyzer V12 for Windows.
Start Star Analyzer and you'll see all your Star Analyzer Plus properties.

6. Once you are satisfied that the upgrade was done correctly, you can delete the C:\StarAnalyzerPlus folder and the Star Analyzer Plus icon from the Windows desktop.

Star Analyzer Plus and Star Analyzer do not "see" each other, so you may leave them both installed if you want to. However, you can not move data between these two versions, other than as in Step 4 above, and you can only do this one time.

If you wish to share your Star Analyzer data on two or three computers, click the Help Button in the upper-right of the Star Analyzer screen and view the Help Videos on using 2 or 3 computers.
